I am writing to formally complain again about the ongoing and completely unacceptable situation outside our homes involving persistent anti-social behaviour, public drinking, fly-tipping, and littering.

This has now been reported multiple times, yet despite occasional clean-ups, the rubbish and behaviour return almost immediately. Beer cans, broken bottles, bin bags, food waste, and general litter are constantly being left in the area. People gather to drink publicly, make noise, and leave the space in a disgusting and unsafe condition for residents.

This is no longer just a cleanliness issue — it is becoming a serious public safety concern.

Children play in this area daily. They should not have to walk around broken glass, alcohol containers, rotting rubbish, and dumped waste. It is dangerous, unhygienic, and completely unacceptable that families are expected to live like this. The smell, mess, and constant recurrence of the problem are having a real impact on residents’ quality of life.

The current approach of simply cleaning the area after complaints is clearly not working. The council must take stronger preventative action to stop this behaviour from continuing. Residents should not have to repeatedly report the same issue while nothing meaningful changes.

I urge the council to take immediate and visible enforcement action, including:

* Increased monitoring and enforcement in the area * Fines for littering, fly-tipping, and public drinking offences * Clear warning signage stating penalties for dumping rubbish * Installation of public litter bins * Investigation into CCTV or regular enforcement patrols * A long-term plan to prevent repeat offending rather than temporary clean-ups

It is the council’s responsibility to keep residential areas safe, clean, and suitable for families. Right now, the situation is the exact opposite. Residents are frustrated that repeated reports have not led to a lasting solution.

Please treat this as an urgent matter and confirm what concrete actions will now be taken to stop this ongoing problem permanently.
