Pigeon droppings

Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 16:22, Sun 17 July 2016

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 3 minutes later

The pigeons nesting under the railway bridge are causing an unsightly mess. In wet weather it is very slippery - most certainly a health and safety issue. It does not feel like 'good luck' as some would have it when you are the one the faeces lands on! it is very unpleasant to walk under this bridge, even more so when there is a dead pigeon hanging down from the netting. How is it that the council can spend SO MUCH MONEY on improving the high street but ignore this problem with the pigeons which has gone on for years. Surely there must be a way of dealing with the issue. At the very least the pavement under the bridge needs cleaning frequently. PLEASE

  • Thank you for your report.

The pigeon deterrents would have to be placed by Southeastern Railway as they are the ones to maintain the bridge.

Here is their contact information page - http://www.southeasternrailway.co.uk/ contact-us/ customer-services/

I have raised a service request for our operatives to clear under the bridge also, the reference number for that is - PSC0008619
