Long ladder has been dumped

Reported in the Flytipping category anonymously at 10:32, Mon 4 July 2016

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 2 minutes later

A long ladder has been dumped in this alleyway so not only is this fly tipping but it poses a potential security risk - burglary. I first noticed the ladder yesterday.

  • Hello - still in the alley at 10.30pm on Monday night. I am concerned about security implications as it would provide easy access to upstairs windows. Please will you prioritise for removal tomorrow (Tues)? Thanks.

  • I have chased this up with the operations manager and have been informed that this alley-way is private property.

This sadly means that RBG is not able to remove the ladder.

Apologies for the inconvenience, however, this is an issue that would have to be taken up with the land-owner.

  • This is not true. The alley is public, and the Council regularly deals with fly tipping here. Please address ASAP.

This is the alleyway linking Lyveden Road and Banchory Road (photographed from both directions).

It is a public thoroughfare which is not privately owned.

The ladder is clearly shown. Please remove it soon.

  • It took a little longer than I expected to get the ladder moved as there was confusion about the nature of the alleyway where it was left.
