The streetlight in Clarence Road has become overgrown & obscured by Ivy (attached photos refer)

The road has become darkened and feels unsafe for residents

The streetlight is at the back of both the old "Hoy pub" and the Petrol Station

Updates

  • The bushes/foliage wrapped around the lamp column is from private land. A Land Registry check has been done to find out the landowner's details . The Council will write to the Landowner in January 2026 and ask them to remove the foliage from the column.
