Overflowing Street Litter Bins and Fly Tipping on Olympian Way

Reported via mobile in the Litter Bin category anonymously at 12:25, Sun 24 August 2025

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8066852.

I am writing to raise a complaint regarding the poor maintenance of street litter bins along the riverside walk. The bins in this area are frequently not emptied in a timely manner, which has resulted in overflowing rubbish and subsequent fly tipping. This not only creates an unsightly environment but also attracts pests and poses health and safety concerns for residents and visitors who use the riverside walk.

The situation undermines the appeal of what should be a clean and welcoming public space. I request that the Council takes urgent action to ensure bins are emptied regularly and that enforcement measures are taken to prevent further fly tipping.

I would appreciate confirmation of the steps the Council will take to address this issue.
