Dear RBG Team,
I am writing to formally report a recent incident involving a vehicle collision that has resulted in the complete removal of a tree on Chapel Farm Road. The vehicle involved, with registration number LD23 GCC, collided with the tree, causing it to be entirely cut down. Please see the attached photographs as evidence of the incident and the resulting damage.
Given that the loss of this tree was directly caused by the collision, I kindly request that steps be taken to claim the costs of replanting a new tree through the vehicle owner’s insurance. This will help to reinstate the site to its original condition, as if the incident had never occurred.
Additionally, I would like to highlight that any time and resources your team spends on addressing this matter, including the replanting process and administrative efforts, should also be included in the insurance claim. It is only fair that the borough does not bear the financial burden of restoring this damage.
Could you please confirm: • That this matter will be reported to the relevant insurer? • That a replacement tree will be planted at the same location? • Whether your team will be claiming your associated costs as part of the insurance claim? • An estimated timeframe for when the tree replanting may take place?
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please let me know if you require any further information from my side.
