Dangerous pothole causes vehicles to swerve into left lane

Reported via iOS in the Potholes category anonymously at 10:49, Sunday 26 January 2025

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7033913.

There is a very large jagged pothole combined with protruding broken tarmac on the right side of the right lane. This is a busy intersection, and this damage is spotted late due to queuing traffic, which then causes vehicle to stop or swerve into the left lane. This hole is both a pothole but also raised/broken tarmac. It could easily cause a cyclist or motorcycle to fall.

While the pothole in the photo is particularly bad, the approach to this location is littered with rubble, debris and rough concrete or tarmac piled up near the railings. It really needs to be sorted out. There are several reports on FixMyStreet of this same issue.
