Unsafe street at night when exiting Charlton station
Reported via mobile in the Street lighting category anonymously at 00:10, Thu 6 July 2023
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4754917.
This is the view when walking on the pavement along Delafield Road at night when exiting Charlton station. And no, this photo hasn't been modified, it really is that dark and dangerous.
Very easy to trip over the broken pavement or to make anyone feel uncomfortable and in fear of being attacked

Please can the trees along Delafield Road be pruned urgently. They are all significantly overgrown and it is blocking street lighting along the street. It is so unsafe in the dark not being able to see where you are walking. Please sort this.

This is still an issue and only getting worse as the trees get even bigger and the nights get longer. Feel so uncomfortable walking home from the train station in the dark due to no street lighting at points along Delafield Road because the trees are so so overgrown.

Still a major safety issue. This photo shows what it's like for a lone woman walking home from Charlton station during the hours of darkness

Still nothing done about this months after first reporting it.
Walking along Delafield Road is a major safety concern as soon as it gets dark, which is even earlier now with the clocks change.
This has also been reported to the Police on StreetSafe.
Can something please be done before someone gets injured due to the darkness?

This is still an issue - please can the trees all along Delafield be cut whilst it is winter?

This still remains an issue that has gotten even worse now the trees all along the street have grown even bigger, blocking out the light from even more street lights.
