Large and smaller areas of sunken tarmac on the path. Dangerous for runners and pedestrians as I discovered.

These potholes have been here for a long time. Made worse by the still leaking water pipe somewhere in the vicinity. The sunken patches could have been the result of previous failed repair attempts. They have existed foe several years ans are becoming worse.
