Unenforced Double Yellow Parking
Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 16:12, Sat 10 September 2022
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3816171.
Almost every evening there are cars parked on the double yellow lines between the bus stop and the junction with Eltham Hill. This has been ongoing for months if not years.
This parking is causing cars and buses to overtake on the opposite side of the road, which is dangerous given the proximity of the road junction. Vehicles are pulling into Kingsground from Eltham Hill without due care and meeting oncoming vehicles that have to be on the wrong side of the road. It also proposes a safety issue for pedestrians stepping into the road and not having looked both directions, not expecting traffic to be on the wrong side.
The double yellow lines are clearly painted, but never enforced, with the same vehicles parking there on a daily basis.

Still not fixed, large, long vehicles required to emerge onto a busy road from the wrong side of the road, with poor visibility and other traffic attempting to turn into the side road is a major hazard. Council seemingly uninterested in enforcing or responding.
