Rubbish on pavements

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 21:32, Sunday 4 September 2022

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later

There is a persistent fly tipping issue in this area. Please don't mark or as being resolved by the weekly street sweep as such service is not provided on the Plumstead ward. I invite the new councilor to take a walk and hopefully be dismayed by the shear amount of rubbish on kerbs and pavements.

Updates

  • Still there on Tuesday, includes soiled nappies. There are also increased instances of dog waste, presumably left by owners taking dogs up to green space at end of Cheritan Dr. Although I know council resources are limited it would be helpful to have some means of preventing further, like capturing images of flytipping in progress and showing the images

  • Household rubbish, including soiled nappies dumped here almost immediately after previous is cleaned up. Dumped again last night 23-24.9.22. Although not a fan of cctv, it seems like we need something to tackle this.

  • Sep 26 update, as soon as it was picked up. A new bag of rubbish with soiled nappies was dumped on the same spot. It looks like premeditated vandalism. It's every week on a Fri/Sat night. It looks like it is the same person that vandalized Lenton path. That path has the CCTV of a house pointing to the spot where rubbish is regularly dumped.

  • More nappies strewn across pavement for last few days

  • The current problem has been fixed, but I would suggest the council addresses it as vandalism as it is not a one off and it seems pre-meditated.

    State changed to: Fixed
