Tree too large for safety to the public and damage

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 11:31, Tuesday 9 August 2022

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later

Re: Crime nos. 3605681/15 CAD2495 During the past couple of years the above address has been subject to several thefts of property and vehicle thefts, this has been not helped due to the tree covering the street lamp, allowing people not to be seen along this small section of Broad Walk and committing crime. Following interviews with police it has been noted that the tree bordering the wall along 276 Broad Walk has become increasing large and is blocking the street lamp inviting criminal activity. The tree is also still causing extensive damage to my property and this has been rectified by builders at least 5 times at huge cost to myself. This has now happened again and I am unable financially to keep paying to repair the damage the tree is causing. This tree was not originally here when I bought the property but has caused untold damage since it was planted. Please could you cut the tree back as it is a danger to safety and property. Thanking you in anticipation. Mrs J O'Connor

  • The signs boardering 276 Broad Walk have been removed advising of tree cutting but no work has been done. Please advise tree surgeons to complete the cutting down to as low as possible as this is a major hazard. Thank you kindly. Mrs Oconnor 276 broad walk 07961680461.
