Pigeon mess

The pigeon mess under the railway bridge- on the same side as the florists- is unsightly and in wet weather slippery. It would be a much healthier environment if it could be removed. There are still birds nesting up there. Few would feel 'lucky' when ending up on their way to work with the mess on their heads, clothing and belongings. is it poss to prevent the birds living up there?
