Gross lack of street cleaning

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3618189.

The road gutters in Hill End are full of road dirt as they are so seldom swept. On Thursday's a road gang turn up and sweep the gutters in Donaldson Rd, but they do not sweep in Hill End, which joins Donaldson Rd at its top by Shooters Hill. When I have asked them why they do not sweep in Hill End they say another gang are down to do that. HOWEVER this mythical other gang never seem to turn up, hence Hill End gutters are in a bad state. All that needs to be done is to put Hill End on the same list for sweeping as Donaldson Rd.

  • Unfortunately Royal Greenwich Council did not clean the gutters and remove the weeds in Hill End. Tired of asking RG to do this, we got together a working party of Hill End residents and swept the gutters & pulled up the weeds ourselves.
