Water manhole inspection cover

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3516659.
When vehicles go over it they make an extremely loud "clunking" sound. It'd impossible to sleep at night with the windows open, and the sound is very intrusive when we are in the garden. This appears to be a relatively new problem. I was unaware of it last year.

They say it has been fixed. It hasn't. A water board van parked over the top of it for a few minutes then left. It remains exactly the same. Spend a couple of minutes standing on the pavement, and listen.

The problem persists. I've had no feedback from the Council or from Thames Water, so I don't know whether they agree that there is a problem and are planning to find a solution, or they don't see it as an issue and as far as they are concerned no further action needs to be taken.

Still open, via questionnaire -
I've since contacted the Royal Borough of Greenwich Council directly on their website, and have also filled in an online form for Thames Water. No action has been taken so far.

After contacting Fix My Street, the Council and the Water Board, and asking Thames Water workmen, who happened to be in the area fixing a water leak, to take a look, who then also reported it, a crew turned up and replaced the whole thing, laying new tarmac around the perimeter. Approximately an hour's work. Now not a sound when cars go over it. A big thank you to everyone. Now if anyone can fix those Ring Necked Parakeets I'd be most grateful.
