Medical items e.g. used surgical gloves, empty medicine packets, empty blister packets all strewn in the road along Battery Road. The wind has scattered these over the road and into front gardens. Blue bins outside pharmacy may be the source of this waste.

  • There has not been street cleaning on this part of the street for many weeks. The reported throwaways were mainly scattered further away and a small amount were picked up by maybe one other householder resident. With all the street cleaning machines Greenwich Council has for the borough none were used to clean up on this occasion so far.

  • Street cleaning has occurred at least once since the new year. The medical items reported were scattered or picked up by residents more than by street cleaning. Please keep the frequency of street cleaning on this part of Battery Road because of the litter carelessly dropped by those visiting the shops at Thames Reach. Thanks.
