Overflowing bins on the corner of Chevening Road and Woolwich Road.

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 13:36, Thu 4 November 2021

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later

For at least a week, the bins have been overflowing. The pavement is obstructed and there is a lot of rubbish, including food waste, on the ground.

Updates

  • These bins are still overflowing. They smell disgusting and often food residue is left all over the pavement. The takeaway at no. 22 Woolwich Road seems to be responsible. Should they not be required to make proper waste collection arrangements rather than being allowed to leave their waste in this state?

  • The rubbish there is getting worse. It smells terrible, it’s unhygienic and is blocking the pavement. I see from the previous reports that the problem has been ongoing for weeks without resolution.
