After multiple reports about urine on the stairs, I had a message from one of the managers (I assume), telling me that the important thing to do was to get the building and surrounding areas clean. This remark was after arguing the point that it is not being done and as you can see from the photos, it is still not being done. The person who emailed me said they were sorry that we felt that the council were just giving us excuses, now it seems that that conversation was just another excuse given to us and protecting caretakers who are not doing their job when it comes down to our building. They did a clean down of dirty pipes and electrical conduits, that were full of cobwebs and dust, dead bugs and flies etc, that are above our front doors. There were two caretakers doing this and they still could not do it to a satisfactory standard. I sent a report about this as well, showing pictures of bits they did not do. And on that day as well, they never bothered washing down the stairs. They did clear the dust from the bannisters though. That they did do to a satisfactory standard. All this has happened, after a person from one of the council's departments (contollers of the caretakers I presume), came here to see what the problems are with the cleaning of the uilding and surrounded areas and they, themselves said that " the building is not being cleaned to a satisfactory standard", (my words, but exactly same meaning). That's what I was told. So where do we go from here??? Oh yes, our neighbour still dumping his finds (rubbish),from around the estate and dumping unwanted articles he does not want, or breaks, or swaps with his furniture. You can see the clothes horse he dumped. You can also see the small wheelie bin , still in the bushes with all the other rubbish not picked up by your caretakers and being added too on a daily basis by car owners. Time for excuses to stop and get the job done properly.

  • There has been a clean up around here, but that is due to the fact that we had Clive Efford here on an estate inspection and they couldn't hide the fact they are not working here. After his visit, a few things happened here, but will they continue???. It took an MP to see it before greenwich council workmen, pulled their fingers out of their a£$#s and actually started to do their jobs properly. This just shows that the council will try to get away with as much as they can, until someone high enough up the ladder tells them they are wrong. Just goes to prove that my neighbours and myself were right and that the work not being done, was on purpose. It will be nice if they keep to cleaning properly, but i will not hold my breath, as i can see it all going back to exactly how it was before. We wait and see.
