Grass forming seeds dangerous to pets and wildlife

Reported via mobile in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 13:03, Wednesday 2 June 2021

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later

Hi, can the verges of Broad Walk be cut as a priority please. The grass is forming seeds that stick to animals fur and then travels to the skin eventually penetrating it. It's over a foot tall in places and I fear I may be too late as the seeds have already formed. In 2020 my 2 dogs each had to have a general anaesthetic to have seeds removed and I'm keen to avoid repeating their suffering. Many thanks.

Updates

  • Grass cut but poorly done, seeds are still everywhere, thanks for taking action but it still remains a problem and means I can't walk down Broad Walk anymore with the dogs. Report closed for completeness.
