Bin collection and storage

Reported via mobile in the Litter Bin category anonymously at 17:27, Tuesday 13 April 2021

Hello Team

I live on Point Hill SE10 and I would like to report that not all the black top bins are being collected from the post box upwards. The Refuse Collection Team appear to be collecting most of them but every week they refuse to collect at least 2 or more. The bins are out on time, but for some reason they don't collect them. Residents from Point Hill and Maidenstone Hill are now starting to believe this is the designated bin storage area and are now leaving their bins at this location all week. This is now restricting the public footpath which is also a very steep hill. Passer-by are now also dumping rubbish at this location as they assume this is where rubbish is collected from. At this present moment I'm looking at 13 bins on the public footpath and the majority of them were emptied at 7am yesterday morning. I have also just noticed there are now 2 bags of dog poo thrown next to the bins. Please can you look into this as soon as possible.

Thanks and regards

  • Hello Team

I would just like to update you on my complaint about the bins being left on Point Hill near the post box. At present there are 9 bins that have not been collected by their owners and taken back to their properties. The majority were emptied at 7am on Monday and a couple were emptied at 3pm on Monday. Also I'd like to report black bags have now been left at the location. Hopefully they don't have food waste in as the foxes will rip them apart and spread the waste all over the street.

    Regards

    Robert

  • Update : It is now Friday afternoon and there are now 7 bins remaining at the location blocking the footpath on a steep hill. Most of the bins were emptied Monday morning at 7am and some were emptied at Monday afternoon 3pm. Its 3 more days until the bins are collected again, I'm guessing these 7 bins are not gonna be collected by their owners and taken back to their properties.

  • This is getting ridiculous now!!!! The remaining bins have been left at the location on Point Hill next to the post box for 7 days now. There's also more dog poo bags and it now appears to be the local dumping ground for other large objects of rubbish. Can you please sort this out as soon as possible.
