Low level flytipping is still flytipping
Reported via Android in the Flytipping category anonymously at 11:23, Thu 8 April 2021
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2659658.
I have just recieved a reply from yourselves, saying that my reports about flytipping are "low level flytipping". This maybe so to yourselves, but it is not to us. This is happening constantly throughout the year and that is why you are getting these reports. Also, i am aware of the lack of work being done because of corona virus, but as i have said before, we seem to be getting 'No service'. I may add that it is not just flytipping. I have reported unemptied bins because of 'contaminated bags or food stuffs in the recycling bins. What is the reason these bins are not being emptied by one of the lorry teams. They have driven past them for two weeks now and still havent emptied them, after requests as well.

The shooters Hill estate is just one big slum area it should be called Shooters Hill Tip. There is rubbish every where, My husband is 71 and it spent 2 hours walking around the estate picking up rubbish a few days later it was back again. In the parking area rear of Aberford Gardens going towards the park is a abandoned trailer which i reported a year ago it is full of tree cuttings which fly all over the place, empty co2 gas cylinders are everywhere ,plus loads of rubbish it is disgusting. On the green in Aberford Gardens is a large tree branch which fell down a year ago and is still there. It is not helping that people who live here have over filled bins which are not being emptied and rubbish is blowing all around the estate and also people are leaving their bins on pavements . People comment to me how can you live on such a bad area. Years ago people would pay to live on this estate not any more it is the forgotten estate.

The council are using the word fixed. As long as someone who reads these reports, tells someone else about the problem, they reply to this site to say it is "fixed". This is not the case for us. The flytipping problem is on going and shows no sign of stopping, as people see the bins from shooters hill road and think,' there's a place to unload my car/van/lorry, bonus is it will not cost me a penny' ,un quote. When you put up signs saying no flytipping/dumping and/or put in cctv so as to catch the perpetrators, we will concede that you have gone some way to "fixing",the problems. Because you have placed bins directly in the entrance of our building, people assume it is ok to flytip there, especially when someone may have dumped here already. So in short, the problem is not 'fixed', until you address this problem head on. A lady called Odette McGahey (Labour),has put in writing what she will do to try to help us get our estate cleaned up and security issues addressed. She goes on to say that she hopes to work with Clive Efford MP, about these problems. I think this shows that we do have problems and they need to be sorted, so as to give people a better, slightly more enjoyable lives. Once more i say," we have paid our rates, council tax and/or service charge, but are only getting a skeleton service. This has to stop.

I stand by my last reports, saying we have a flytipping problem at the entrance to our building 1-22 tellson avenue. We are still getting fly tipped upon, i even sent a new report yesterday, because someone walked up here from the houses further down the road and just dumped it as if they did not have a care in the world. We live in a 'dont care' world, where nobody gives a f#(¥ and that includes the council from the bottom to the top.
