Dumped Abandoned Moped

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 16:23, Monday 29 March 2021

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later

Dumped moped blocking pavement. Despite at least 2 reports on fix my street https://www.fixmystreet.com/ report/ 2383097 https://www.fixmystreet.com/ report/ 2408990 THIS MOPED IS STILL HERE. So to consolidate all reports together I am reporting again. Between these 2 reports Greenwich Council has marked it as "in progress" (yes, that old chestnut) a total of 11 TIMES!!! YES 11 TIMES. there has been zero progress. I think this is unacceptable and really really think something needs to be done ASAP. This is typical in Plumstead and I'm pretty fed up. We also pay council tax (in plumstead) so respectfully can you GET ON WITH IT. I'll give it a couple of days then will write my MP and leader of the council and anyone else I can think of.

Updates

  • Oh and before you post that you can't find tax status of this moped (everytime!!!!) see attached image. for future reference if you get Google you can go to the DVLA's web site to get this info. Might be worth looking through the other 2 reports I linked in earlier rather than ask any questions that have already been answered.

  • Thanks for the detailed response to my enquiry. (this is sarcasm by the way). That is a total of 12 x "in progress" responses to a simple enquiry about an obviously dumped moped that is blocking the pavement and in dangerous condition. It's been there at least 6 months........ and here we are. Again, this is simply not good enough.

  • Dear reporter,

You may get more success by contacting your local councillors who wil escalate your concern. I also find this motorbike which has been dumped for well over a year to be a complete nuiscance.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • Hi, I also live on Cantwell Road; this dumped moped is a disgrace and should be removed ASAP.

Please can RBG advise if it will be removed, or, should the residents take other action?

    Thank you
