Abandoned car
Reported via mobile in the Abandoned vehicles category by Matthew Tanner at 17:04, Mon 15 February 2021
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2547632.
This car has been like this since September last year. The person who owns it doesn’t even live here any more. It is dangerous. It could collapse onto the pavement at any time.

The car is still here , still in a dangerous condition. It needs to be moved , but it will need a tow truck with a winch as the n/s front suspension leg has collapsed.

I reported this to Clive Efford MP on Sunday and received the following reply yesterday:-
Dear Matthew,
Thank you for your email, I hope you're keeping well. I can confirm that Clive has contacted Greenwich Council on your behalf to request that the vehicle in question be removed.
As soon as we receive a response, we will contact you again. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to get back in touch if we can be of any other assistance.
Best wishes, Amy Stokes
Senior Caseworker for Clive Efford Member of Parliament for Eltham

A gentleman from Greenwich Council knocked on my door on Thursday and informed me that the car would be gone within 48 hours. As it is the weekend, I suppose we should give them the benefit of the doubt and assume he meant two working days.

There has been movement on this but the car is still there. It has now been clamped and a ticket put on it so maybe it will be removed in a day or two

Despite being told last Thursday (11th) that the car would be moved within 48 hours it is still there. It was clamped and ticketed on Monday and both were gone by Wednesday. My guess is that it won’t be long before it collapses on to the pavement. Let’s just hope no one is walking by when it does.

Hi Greenwich Council.
This is embarrassing. What is going on with this? Car has been abandoned for MONTHS. Residents should not have to contact MP's and it should not take this long to get it removed.
So again,
THIS CAR NEEDS REMOVING BY GREENWICH COUNCIL. It is the councils responsibility (see link below)
It is: Untaxed since 01/01/21. No MOT since 19/02/21. Parked on public highway (no 15 day notice required). Parked on the pavement. Obstructing the pavement. It’s abandoned. It is significantly damaged.

When can we expect it to be collected?
