For as long as i have lived here these bins have been in this location( outside the original bin chute cupboard). The small bins in the chute cupboard must have been deemed as not large enough for this building so they put these two larger bins, right at the entrance to the building entrance, so we all have to walk past them whether they stink, have builders rubbish sticking out of them(fly tipped building rubbish and other rubbish passers by decide to dump in and around the bin area). A complaint was made about this a little while ago and the councils response to us wanting them moved to the side of the building was to lock the bins up to the white rail, making them even closer to the walkway entrance and to the mans house at the entrance to the building and directly outside the back doors and windows of the house on the other side of the entrance. This must be a health and safety issue and it creates a fly tipping problem as well. In summer these bins stink even with the lids because the sun is on them and they get this full(pictures), because other people driving past usually dump in them. Being in this position they are a bain on our lives and just goes to show that Greenwich council cannot be bothered with this building or its residents. They still havent cleaned the car parking area(yet again),even after using this site to get in touch with them. There are recycle bins around the corner (on the side of our building),where the bins could be located or they could use one of the parking bays. What ever happens, Greenwich council need to sort this out and give my neighbours and myself a cleaner entrance to our building by moving the bins away from the entrance.
