Hard rubble in residential bins

Reported via desktop in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 12:08, Wed 27 January 2021

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later

Unfortunately some of the bins in Fulthorp Rd have not been collected over the past few weeks, as they have been filled with hard/builders rubbish - I presume from a refurbishment. Problem is none of the residents from this part of the estate have recent had any work done and this seems to be fly tippers taking advantage of communal bins to dispose of hard rubbish. Its the bins for the blocks 61-85 odd flats (which are towards the back of Fulthorp Rd). The rubbish in these bills is restricting the available bin space for residents and will cause further issues.

  • Unfortunately as the issue of the bins has not been addressed, we now have 5 households using one black lidded bin. Added to the multiple blue bins on Fulthorp Road that have not been collected due to them being so full that people have started putting carrier bags of rubbish in them, to prevent rubbish being blown on streets due to open bins - this is a disgrace. Why are residents being penalised due to fly tippers?

  • I second the comment from Tuesday - this has not been resolved and continues to be a problem for all in the two blocks around the courtyard. The block 45-53 has one blue bin only now because the collections refuse to empty them or put them back - because of the flu tipping. In addition, the black bin described in the original issue persists. Why has this not been dealt with?

  • We’re on the same page as those above. This issue is really getting quite urgent now, not least because we have children playing in and around this area. Please help. Thank you.

  • The one without a lid was an abandoned bin but a 1x black 240 will be delivered shortly
