Skip and Flytip Issue on Common

Reported via mobile in the Flytipping category anonymously at 20:11, Mon 2 November 2020

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later

There has been an abandoned skip on the common for the last 3 weeks, you originally emptied the skip about a week ago but you didn’t remove the skip. I drove past today and was absolutely horrified to see that’s it’s now become a flytip with the skip totally full again and rubbish is surrounding the tip. Not only is this an eyesore on the common, it’s also dangerous to children who use the space, dogs and their owners but most of all drivers especially at night as the common is very dark.

Please can this be resolved before someone gets hurt and then you’ll have a bigger issue than just cleaning up a flytip you could be liable for damages.

  • I can’t believe people can be so vile as to dump their rubbish on such a lovely space. Those pictures are unbelievable, I wish Greenwich could catch those responsible and give them a huge fine.

  • Hi some evidence was found amongst some of the rubbish so hopefully we will be able to fine the individual
