In progress
Cars constantly blocking traffic island
Reported via iOS in the Car parking category anonymously at 16:31, Wed 2 September 2020
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2275460.
Vehicles are causing a constant obstruction to the road. This is a double yellow and illegal to park obstructing a traffic island. Vehicles (including many HGV’s on this road) have to illegally pass the wrong side of the traffic island. All the cars in this photo are illegally parked. Many with flat tyres as they have been abandoned for months. Why is no traffic enforcement carried out on this road?

This still happens on a daily basis. Blocking a traffic island like this is not just a parking offence, it is causing a dangerous obstruction. Please can someone deal with this? I don’t know the reason why parking tickets are never issued on this road

Thus goes on every day. A van going the other way had to wait for me to pass, on my bike, before driving through (illegally) on the wrong side of the traffic island. Why don’t traffic wardens go on this road to enforce anything? Also see the vehicle parked on the pavement on the right, blocking the view for lorries pulling out (onto a Quietway cycle route)
