Accumulated litter on Sir John Morden pathway, between Kidbrooke Grove and Kidbrooke Park Road.
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 09:47, Tue 23 June 2020
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2168527.
Rubbish, including empty cans of drink, glass bottles ( some broken ) takeaway packaging and various items of paper, board and clothing are being discarded in this public walkway. This adds to the continuing problem of dog excrement, which is attracting flies and is a health hazard.

Despite two requests, the state of the pathway was ignored by Council workers who were on Kidbrooke Grove. The only improvement has been as a result of litter picking by myself and some other like minded citizen.

There has still been NO ACTION by Royal Borough of Greenwich. The pathway is now in a disgraceful state and needs URGENT action by cleansing staff. In my opinion, as a medically qualified person, the pathway is becoming a health hazard and Greenwich Council have a duty of care to clear up a problem that I have now reported since June 2020..

The Sir John Morden walk, between Kidbrooke Park Road and Kidbrooke Grove is a mess of discarded food and drink containers, surgical gloves and dog muck. The Council should clean it up, but, importantly, people using this pathway should not use it as a dustbin.

It took three months, with regular reminders, but the clean up has now been done and the pathway is much improved. Many thanks to the Council workers.
