Dangerous parking

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 09:15, Tuesday 26 May 2020

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later

General Public visiting Oxleas Woods are parking at the top of Shooters Hill at the junction of Kenilworth Gardens (SE18 3JB). It is particularly dangerous on weekends and holidays (& lockdown), or during events held at Oxleas Woods. This makes it extremely dangerous when exiting Kenilworth Gardens because the view up & down Shooters Hill at the crest of the hill is completely obscured.

It’s a fatal accident waiting to happen.

The top of Kenilworth Gardens and adjoining Shooters Hill (including on the corner - yes people park here!) needs double yellow lines at a bear minimum of safety measures.

It is a long-standing issue.
