Tree overhanging into garden
Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 13:42, Mon 27 April 2020
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2098513.
I am sending you some more photos of the tree that is overhanging in our garden. I did send some photos late last year but I did not get a response. Again, this is blocking the sunlight coming into the garden, and now, since the leafs are growing back on the tree, the birds are on the branches and there droppings are causing an absolute mess on our pavements. I think now is a good time to cut back the branches which are hanging over into the garden and also prune the tree right back overall since the tree is far too big. You want people to pay their service charges, and to report any maintenance that may be required, but for me personally when I do nothing gets done i.e. no tree maintenance. So, if we can get this problem resolved asap I would be very greatful. I look forward to your quick response.

I have confirmed with Peabody that the responsibility of the tree is with you the Greenwich council. You want people to pay their council tax, and to report any maintenance that may be required, but for me personally when I do nothing gets done i.e. no tree maintenance. So, if we can get this problem resolved asap I would be very grateful. If not, I will have to escalate this to my council leader if I do not get this issue resolved, and soon. I look forward to your quick response.

Hi, I have still not had any response from my previous report (sent 27 April 2020) which is absolutely not good enough. So, what I am suggesting is, if the branches that are hanging into the garden, these can be cut down up to the fence boundary, and the branches that fall into the garden they can be removed and put into your shredder. Since nothing else seems to be getting done, this is what I suggest can be done. I look forward to a quick response.
Regards,
Mr Paul Floy
