Car park area not being cleaned.
Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 16:06, Thu 12 March 2020
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2058252.
These photos are showing dead leaves and rubbish being thrown over the fence (by vehicle owners), that is not being cleaned up by any of the clean-up teams ( caretakers, street cleaners and grass & bush cutters). This has only been done once since the bays were introduced and has looked like this for a year and a half. The street cleaners refuse to do it as they say" it's not part of the road or pavement and we have not been told to do the bays". The street cleaners only clean the road up to the white lines that seperate the bays from the road itself. The caretakers only pick up litter with a litter picker and nothing else. They do not clean the grassed (bushy) area, even though they can reach the rubbish near the fence.

As is seen in the photographs, there is dead leaves (not being cleaned by any body of people), plastic and metal containers, rags of differing sizes and just general rubbish strewn around the car park and grassed area. I wrote to yourselves (through street fix),outlining this ongoing problem and have recieved a response saying that it is private property If this is so, can you let me know who is responsible for cleaning the car parking zones. The grassed area is not private land, as you do(greenwich council) ,cut the grass and cut the shubbery areas. These areas are not being cleaned by any of your operatives. Caretakers only litter pick these parking zones ( even though they are"private land , never using a broom, or litter picking the rubbish in the shrubs area and grassed area and the street cleaners only sweep the road itself and stop when they get to the white lines seperating the parking zones from the actual street. This is correct for every visit to this street by your operatives.I would also like to ask you who is responsible for the cleaning of the street and the grassed and shrubbery areas as well please It does not take any more time to clean these areas when they first become dirty, than it takes to do whatever amount of effort it takes to do the rest. Thank you very much for time. Mr Anthony Caney.
