Abandoned Van on the end of Elliscombe Road
Reported in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 10:18, Sun 26 January 2020
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1961141.
This van has now been in the same spot for more than 2 weeks. It is located on Elliscombe road just before the junction with Wellington Gardens. The van has been issued multiple parking tickets but these appear to have had no effect. We have to pass it daily and can confirm it has not moved at all. It has a substantial dent on the front roof and may not be drivable due to damage. It is also parked so as to block multiple residents bays.

A note was affixed to say it was being lifted nearly 2 weeks ago by the council but it’s still there. The note has been removed and it’s now getting more parking tickets every day

This vehicle has been sat in this spot for more than a month since it’s first parking ticket. We’ve now seen people trying to break into the vehicle on two occasions and it’s now a crime risk as well as a nuisance.
The council confirmed it would be towed over 2 weeks ago and there’s been no progress with further parking tickets issued.
This is completely unacceptable, the council have no problem posting parking tickets when half a wheel is out of a box but when a large vehicle is abandoned there’s no action.
