Reported anonymously at 13:05, Mon 18 November 2019
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1851434.
Marwan motor garage 5/6 Vicarage park London SE18 7SX. Why is this motor garage business allowed to fix there clients cars 24/7 on the roads on vicarage road? Taking cars apart/ working on engine oil/ Obstructing and Endangering other cars passing by and local pedestrians walking by. Repairing vehicles in the streets as part of running a vehicle repair business is an offence by law. Council should make a visit ASAP, since the owner of this motor garage business doesn’t care.

In addition, why are they allowed to park off-road, where pedestrians are, and not even get a ticket, or a warning? We have alerted Greenwich council to this more than once.

I’m sorry but this should be reopened - also the business is trading 7 days a week (even during lockdown with no distancing) with queues of vehicles stretching back to the school/temple, the old vicarage, and Blendon Terrace... plus the permanent home of the recovery vehicle on a roundabout and on the pavement. You don’t have time staff to monitor and residents are fearful to openly record / take photos of the staff and waiting customers just hanging around - but we are working on this and will present our concerns with more backbone - ie will do your job for you. We want our streets back. I await other residents to aid their concerns... RESIDENTS, this is an issue so don’t let the council allow your lives and parking spaces be taken!!
