Terrible fly tipping in alleyway
Reported in the Flytipping category anonymously at 23:23, Sat 16 November 2019
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1849625.
There is a terrible case of flytipping in the alleyway on Rainton road, next to no.10. It looks like shopping trolleys, mattresses and old wooden fences blocking the whole path access and creating a terrible health and safety hazard. Please could a truck come and clear the mess. If possible a gate should be put up to prevent unauthorised access and flytipping in the future. This is not the first time.

After some research, we believe that this is not private property and is in fact the council’s responsibility as it is passageway going along many houses. We can even provide evidence of the flytippers. It would be helpful if someone from the council could have a look as it is causing significant damage to our fence as well as rats.

Although part of the rubbish has been cleared there is still a large amount of garden refuse/ old broken fence panels and a bench still along the alleyway. It would be helpful if the path was cleared and the rubbish taken away as it is proving to be a hazard.

This is a public footpath and completely inaccessible currently due to the flytipping in the alleyway including a bed frame, bench and old fence panels from a house on Gurdon road. The significant flytipping has also caused damaged to an adjoining property as a result.
