Overgrown ivy has been left to grow out of control with multiple requests to get it cleared simply going from one department to another without a resolution. This has been ongoing for 2 years and has even allowed rats to climb up into the 2nd floor and sometimes the ceiling. Damage to the roof is now a given if nothing is done soon.

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1820462.
The overgrown ivy has been an issue since we moved in 3 years ago and now has grown to such a crazy state that the damage its doing to the overall structure must be extensive.
- it is now growing into the seals of the double glazed windows both in the kitchen and the communal stairwell - it has allowed rats to climb up into the upper floor and ceiling - this has meant the kitchen window and extractor are now not useable - It goes without saying that it is also a massive fire hazard that is now growing on the only exit way for the 2nd floor residents - Cracks are also being noted with the growth of the ivy - It has now grown over the roof and it is only a matter of time before it starts to damage the roofing tiles.
Several inspectors have come, been shocked at the state, said they would immediately report it as something must be done and yet 2 years on, we still have this problem. Only now it's a lot worse as the pictures show.
The tenant officer push the problem to clean sweep who push it back to the tenant office saying the other is responsible and no one has communicated a plan of what needs to be done and when.

It's been nearly 2 years now. It has been overgrown for the last 2 years and all the council does is send inspectors to watch it grow some more. Its damaged the extractor fans, gone through the double sealed windows, over the roofs which is now probably causing damage to the roof and allowed vermin to climb up into the ceiling. Still no official response from the council regardless of how many avenues I have taken. One of our neighbours has already sued the council and still nothing. This is quite unbelievable especially as we have young children on the flats.

Got an update that this would be fixed in 3 weeks. That was over a month ago and still no update.
Ended up cutting some of whilst hanging precariously outside my 1st floor kitchen window as it was that or have my whole kitchen window blocked by this thing.
