Huge amount of rubbish in the middle of the pathway
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 08:54, Mon 21 October 2019
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1812778.
Large amount of domestic rubbish has been here consistently for very long time, obstructing the pathways and making it hard for buggies and disabled people to use the footpath. Uncollected rubbish eventually starts spreading throughout the area harming the environment. If this issue is not addressed within days, I will personally relocate this rubbish to the front of the council doors, so that impact becomes obvious to the council, hopefully then you will consider addressing the underlying cause and justifying your existence.

Bags were collected just now, but a pile of rubbish remained uncollected. It’s unbagged and now spreading fast around the area causing environmental damage.

Removing the rubbish once doesn’t solve the underlying problem. Somebody would top up rubbish right after it’s removed. Do you have any plans on sorting out the underlying cause? This issue has been ongoing for years, should it be escalated?

I also find it ridiculous that reporting the problem prevented it from being addressed for such a long time.

Can you please create a new job of any more rubbish appears under the flytipping catagory,
This has been reported under the pavement and footpaths resulting it going to a different department

I was hoping you’d request IT team to update the category in the database, such that the full history remains in this ticket and the issue gets proper attention. Is there any reason this can’t be done?
Creating new tickets each time is pointless since rubbish is topped up shortly after you remove it, as you have already come to realise now.
I’d suggest to arrange a daily collection of this rubbish if that’s what it takes to keep Greenwich clean.

Rubbish is back. Have you arranged a daily collection of the rubbish? If nothing else works, seems like a reasonable thing to do. If you know who is responsible for this, it would make sense to charge them the bill for special arrangements, too.

When I asked them for an update they ignored me, did they ignore you, too? Does the team exist at all? Looks like money laundering to me as nothing changes, rubbish continues to predictably appear in the same place, and predictably spread around the area (image attached). To be honest, I’m not sure why I keep attaching images, seems like a total waste of time... I hope brexit is going well for ya though.

Rubbish systematically appears in the same place. Latest portion of rubbish attached for your “attention”, and it has now started spreading out. My questions above remain unanswered.
This issue was marked as “closed” by the council. Are you completely blind there or ignoring blindly obvious issues is part of well thought council strategy?
