Outside lane road damage
Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 13:32, Mon 30 September 2019
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1786433.
Two potholes present on the outside lane where the tarmac is coming apart over the expansion joints of the bridge. Both potholes are unavoidable without swerving, and are at where vehicle wheels will run over. Furthermore, anytime a vehicle hits these holes, more of the road surface comes away, and there is debris around them. The underlying problem is that when the road was completely resurfaced, someone thought it best to tarmac over the expansion joints of the bridge. This means that no matter how often a 'quick fix' is done, the road will start to come apart anytime the temperature changes, as the bridge will naturally expand and contract at certain times of the year.
