Car Repairs
Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 13:52, Thu 26 September 2019
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1782066.
Although you say the issue has been fixed the mechanic is clearly still operating from Riverdale Road. Cars are being repaired up and down the street with no regards for public safety. This is illegal it states on the police website that it is illegal to fix or repair vehicles on the public highway while operating as a business. Please stop this from happening as you’re aware and therefore facilitating his illegal activities.

Of course they closed the issue without fixing it, no surprise there. What’s the point of having fixmystreet in Greenwich just close everything without actually rectifying the problem???

Not fixed, we have complained numerous times to the councillors that the road is still being used as an extension of the garage based on Riverdale Road but nothing is being done. So until you take the issue seriously we will have to keep opening up old complaints.

Not fixed. Just this weekend (25/26 January 2020) he was working on 3 cars in plain sight. I came up the road and he was working on a white Range Rover outside someone’s house, can you believe the cheek. I’m sure by now you must be aware of what’s happening so can you please deal with it and not close this as fixed.

Not fixed. Car repairs are still illegally being carried out on the road outside residents homes. You know this because complaints are still coming in.
