No Parking on Riverdale Road
Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 09:51, Mon 9 September 2019
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1760860.
The mechanic on Riverdale Road has several cars as pictured that he has parked up and they’re taking up valuable parking spaces on the road. He also has some on Saunders Road which don’t move. This complaint has been made on numerous occasions buy many residents but seems to be going unchecked for some unknown reason.
The cars are left for months outside homes and eventually stripped down, this is done on the pavement which is dangerous and inconsiderate of the people who would actually like to walk on the pavement and not use the road.
Could you please deal with the issue as it’s really becoming a major safety issue now.

They won’t deal with it, after months of waiting they automatically turned it into fixed and close the complaint down absolute joke

Keep taking pictures and keep the complaints coming in. They will ignore it but that way it shows that they are deliberately ignoring us and the issue.

Not fixed, apart from one all of the other cars in that photo are still parked up on Riverdale Road. They’re not being fixed they just sit there rusty and taking up valuable spaces.

Not fixed, the road is packed with cars that haven’t moved in months. We have literally begged Greenwich to look into the issue but nothing ever happens it’s ridiculous.

Start a petition to have parking permits for residents only. I’m sure the mechanic won’t pay for this lot!!!

I’m going to look into that it seems like the only way to stop people dumping cars on this and all the surrounding roads. I would like to know who is actually dealing with all the complaints that come in about this issue and see how they close things as “fixed”

Not fixed. We still have at least 10 cars which belong to the garage on Riverdale Road and it’s causing a parking issue.

Cars are still parked up long term some have been here over a year which means residents and fellow road users are limited as to where they can park.
