Riverdale Road Parking Issue

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 20:28, Sun 8 September 2019

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 4 minutes later

Please can you deal with the mechanic on Riverdale/Saunders Road as he has parked up at least 9 cars and that’s taking away from local residents. Wouldn't be so bad if he was turning them around quickly that would make sense, instead they just sit there for months on end outside peoples homes. If he’s not working on them on the road they’re left jacked up over night which is very unsafe, this issue has been raised on numerous occasions with yourselves but nothing has come of it so please can this be looked into once and for all.

  • They need to introduce residents only parking, this would resolve this issue

  • This is still an ongoing issue as the mechanic still has multiple vehicles dumped up and down Riverdale and Saunders Road which means there’s no available spaces.

  • The parking on Riverdale Road is horrendous, Sunday evening and there will be no parking available for residents because the local mechanic who can do as he pleases has 14 cars parked up and they haven’t moved in months.

  • No, there is an untaxed car right outside his garage and I’ve seen it move each time I leave for work so he’s driving it. I reported it 4 times on here and it’s still sitting there, been untaxed since July. They don’t care about anything he does.

  • No this is an ongoing problem because the mechanic business buys cars and just dumps them on the road, he also fixes cars and the owners don’t seem to come back for them.

  • Cars are still left jacked up on the road which is unsafe right? Also work on cars shouldn’t be happening on public footpaths anyway.
