I am the Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator for Crathie Road & am appalled that this pile of old paving slabs & earth excavated when the pavement was re-paved has been left outside number 2 Crathie Road. I would have hoped the workmen would have taken this away when they did the paving job, but it is still here almost 2 weeks later. This is not just a health issue, but a safety one, as we have a number of elderly residents who could trip on this waste. Additionally cars are having to park precariously to avoid it. I understand we pay for highway maintenance as part of our council tax, so the residents would appreciate if this could be removed as a matter of urgency.

Now someone has dumped a large fridge freezer on the other side of the road. This is what happens when the council allows ONE lot of dumping. Other people think that they can continue it.... Why don't you just clean it up in good time to prevent further problems?

We haven't allowed dumping,
The contractors left the rubble awaiting collection from the specialist lifting vehicle
The fridge will be collected within 24 hours

You didn't need "specialist lifting" equipment when you put it there. It was done piece by piece with a shovel. Get "shovel" person to return with a pickup truck and shovel it up. This menace is unlit at night. That's against Health and Safety regulations...All hazzards MUST be lit at night when in a road. There's another pile in Horn Park Lane left by the same idiots.

This is appalling and dangerous as there are no cones to indicate an obstruction, it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.

The problem was partially fixed but the roadway was not clean of all the debris. The job was HALF done. I don't know if it was ever completely cleared away. Maybe several vehicles ran over the rest or a member of the public cleared it up. Either way Greenwich council didn't give a damn!
