Large hole in the road in Eastcombe Avenue.

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 15:35, Monday 3 June 2019

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 5 minutes later

This large and pronounced dent in the road has been getting progressively worse over the past year. The wheels of busses and larger vehicles suddenly drop from the level of the road into the warped dent and cause the houses to shake violently. My daughter gets very distressed and scared when heavy vehicles pass over the holes as it causes the the whole house shake. Items have fallen off shelves as the house shakes and cracks have started to appear. This goes on from 5 am to gone midnight. I have twice complained online about this issue but have not received any confirmation nor has any action been taken. The problem has been getting progressively worse over the past year. The general state of the road surface on Eastcombe Avenue is absolutely appalling and the heavy vehicles that thunder up the road (nearly always going twice the legal limit) exasperate the problem and cause misery for its residents.

  • A few weeks ago white lines were sprayed on the road around the specified area but work has yet to start. I would appreciate some movement on this matter as the problem is getting worse and the shaking of the house is becoming even more violent.
