A long standing water leak next to Mainridge Road bus stop on Green Lane is slowly killing the hornbeam that has now been stood in water for over a year.

The Council may regard this as fixed because they chopped the tree down. I had hoped that the water leak would be fixed to save the tree, so I feel bad for reporting it now.

They went for "chop the tree down" rather than "repair the leak". Not sure I saw that coming, but I guess in a sense it's fixed. Still leaking though!

We had hoped they would fix the leak, but they went for chopping the tree down instead- so in a sense it is fixed, but not as you would know it.
