Orangery Lane Alleyway
Reported in the Dog fouling category anonymously at 07:37, Wed 20 March 2019
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1577979.
This alleyway runs from the back of The Orangery, down to the police station. It is used daily by children and school groups as well as the public as quick access to the high street, library and Eltham Centre. It is constantly littered by piles of dog poo. It’s a daily thing and I’m certain it’s the same few offenders every time. It used to be swept by the street cleaners weekly (although that still wasn’t enough) but hasn’t been touched for 3 weeks now. Dog poo is extremely dangerous and can cause blindness in humans. Children are stepping in this everyday and then walking it into school, onto classroom carpets which they then sit on, into our homes etc. It’s a real problem. Can you set up temporary cameras to catch these irresponsible owners and also ensure this is swept at least weekly.

The alleywAy has been swept a few times but the fouling is a daily Occurrence. Some sort of cctv is required. Owners let their dogs do it there because they know they won’t be seen
