Illegal parking on kerbs during evenings

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 22:47, Sunday 24 February 2019

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 3 minutes later

This is a common issue on Merbury Road and Merbury Close. Residents from the nearby apartments are parking on these roads because they can't be asked to pay for parking bays within their estate. There are loads of bays inside the estate that are empty, but people are parking on our roads and making it difficult for pushchair, wheelchair users and having to force in walking on the road due to parking on the kerb and parking where they shouldn't.

Mainly occurs in evenings till early morning, as council parking enforcement isn't doing their jobs to fine these even if call up the out of hours helpline.

This has been going on for several years, but nothing seems to be being done about it.

This also causes problems for large vehicles especially rubbish collection vehicles every week and as a result sometimes our bins are not collected either.

Need to resolve ASAP to put enforcement, lines.
