Plastic debris floating on the river in the ferns For a long stretch along the Thames path
Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 15:17, Wed 20 February 2019
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1550047.
I have recently noticed loads of plastic bottles and other plastic waste floating on the river Thames alongside the Thames Path when the tide is in.
The location of the waste is just off Cutter Lane, opposite the entrance to the Emirates Air Line in North Greenwich where there are tall furns sticking up from the riverbed.
It seems that plastic bottles and waste have collected in the ferns and gets trapped there when the tide goes out. The waste is very noticeable when the tide is in.
Being a new resident in one of the newbuild properties at number 1 Upper Riverside, 18 Cutter Lane I often walk along the Thames Path and thought that action needs to be taken to clean this up and maybe signage is required to prevent further littering into the river.

Hi there, just been notified that the status of this case has been changed to “in progress “, Followed by another notification saying that it has been close.
The problem still persists, as there is still loads of debris and plastic waste along the river, which is getting stuck in the funds.
Is there any way at all that you are able to send a boat around to clean up the plastic, followed by another notification saying that it has been close.

Is there any way at all that you are able to send a boat around to clean up the plastic, or send someone out with longnecked to pick this up? I would do it myself if I had a really long net Or access down there when the tide is out.
