Rubble/hardcore dangerously littering cycle lane
Reported via iOS in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 12:39, Wed 17 October 2018
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1439787.
This stretch of road - westbound between the roundabout that adjoins westmoor street and the next roundabout at stone lake retail park - is a disgrace. Rubble and gravel (debris spilled presumably by the trucks that visit the builders’ yards) constantly litters the cycle lane. Nothing ever gets done about it, and it never appears to be swept by cleaners - or if it does, they are just sweeping into the cycle lane rather than removing the debris entirely. Smaller pieces are a hazard for punctures etc. (my tyre was recently burst at quite high speed by a large nail) and, more importantly, larger pieces are VERY dangerous. If I go over one of those pieces at the wrong angle, not having seen it in low light for instance, it would be sufficient to knock me off my bike and cause a serious accident. Apart from the urgent clearing up that needs to be done now, this stretch needs to be prioritised for regular cleaning because of the proximity to the builders’ yards.

Hi, thanks for the update. I cycled through there yesterday morning and it’s still an absolute tip. I find it hard to believe that it’s been swept at all since this was reported, let alone in the last days. Are you sure that your teams are definitely clearing?
