Mallard Path (near Plumstead bus garage underpass) is drowning in rubbish.
Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 11:39, Tue 13 February 2018
Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1214824.
Mallard Path is a small green area next to underpass which is heavily used by pedestrians. The levels of rubbish found amongst the trees and bushes in this small section of land is incredible. This area is well populated by birds and other wildlife, they deserve much better then this. Clean up crew needed to spend some serious time here, not just on the paths but right in the greenery itself. An old suitcase and a road barrier can be found amongst it as well as so much other litter. Please help!

It has been over two weeks since this was reported and nothing further has happened - rubbish is worse than ever. No doubt compounded by the fact that there are no bins at all in this area - why is this when it is so heavily used? Where are people supposed to put their rubbish?

The intial reported incident had nothing to do with fly tipping. It was about the disgusting level of general rubbish in this small green area. The council cleared the path only of fallen leaves and the plastic bag they put this all into was dumped in the bushes and is still there weeks later. They have fly tipped themselves. No attention has been paid to the inital report made. I pass through this area twice a day and NOTHING has changed. This issue still needs attending to.

Would like to add that for the first few years I travelled through this area, it was always well maintained. Friendly council clean up man used to be there every morning with his trolley etc and bushes were always well kept. Clearly there has been a change to local funding as the clean up man hasn't been there for over two years now.

This problem has not been 'fixed' either. Still no bins in the area and the rubbish continues to pile up. I spent one hour there today and collected over 5 bin bags in one very small section. Also, the council have swept leaves up and once again, the two bags have sat there for over 2 weeks now. See light gray bags in photo above.

I would like to know where the new bins are. It has been 3 months since last update stating that council were waiting for them. Where are the new bins?
