Mechanical Work Carried Out on Public Footpath Reported anonymously at 20:40, Thu 6 May 2021 This complaint has been made several times over the last 3 years but it would seem that the issues have started again. The mechanic that is illegally trading from the garage on Riverdale/Saunders road has started using the public walkway on Riverdale Road to fix cars again. It’s been happening for the last few weeks and as usual I can’t use that side of the road. I often walk down with my elderly mother and we can’t walk safely on that side because he’s working on cars or has multiple men standing on that side while they’re waiting for their cars to be fixed. I know for a fact it is illegal to work on cars or trade on the public highway also I don’t believe he is insured to be carrying out these types of work, it’s dangerous and a public nuisance to residents. Please deal with this issue. If anyone is hurt because of this Greenwich will be liable as you’re definitely aware of what’s happening.
