Grass being allowed to set seed causing injury to animals. Reported anonymously at 12:57, Wed 17 June 2020 Grass being allowed to set seed on the islands in the middle of Mayday Gardens and on the verges up and down Broad Walk. The type of grass being allowed to set seed has barbs on it allowing it to stick and then slowly penetrate through animal's fur. In the last week I've had to get a vet to remove one that had entered the ear canal of a Cocker Spaniel and again he had to remove one that had embedded itself into the top of the paw of a second Cocker Spaniel causing distress and suffering to both animals.
